My cosplay of ROMANO from HETALIA AXIS POWERS, again. Again, the little doodad down there was made for DEVIANTART. And AGAIN, find the link on my page to go to my Deviantart and see more pictures like this.
BROTHERLY LOVE, or in this case a more literal show of BROMANCE.

I… think I’ll upload a couple pics of this one. The watermark was made for deviantart, so yeah. Speaking of, go to MY DEVIANTART (linked on my page somewhere) for more of these.
Someone kindly pointed out that Italians are more partial to tomato based sauces. I accept that, but I still think this picture is funny. Perhaps more so now.
A-Kon 22 Escapade + Cosplay pics
Two weeks after my latest A-Kon adventure (an annual anime convention in Texas I’ve attended for a few years now) I’m finally writing about it. This year I have set out to make myself do this, and provide appropriate details and illustrations of the event.
I suppose it began with the five hour drive to Texas on Friday with my best friend and cosplay partner, Devin (http://daydreams-musings.tumblr.com/). While struggling to get into cosplay costumes in the car before we arrived, we decided there was no way in heck we wanted to drive to a con on the day of ever again. Arriving early next year is a must.

We arrived and found the pre-reg line for the convention was immense. It was at least an hour wait. This may be the first time in history that it was a bad idea to register early.

At any rate, for Friday of the con we cosplayed Hetalia characters, South Italy (me) and North Italy (Devin). This year Devin joined my dismay at how awful some of the Hetalians can be. One weeaboo in particular returned for at least her second year to fulfill what I assume was her ultimate goal of “I MUST DESTROY ALL HOPE FOR THE HETALIA FANDOM”. Devin and I were perturbed.

But I digress from that. On the bright side, I bought a mustache which matched my South Italy cosplay wonderfully.

Saturday was by far the best day of the con. We debuted our newest cosplays—Fai (me) and Sakura (Devin) from Tsubasa Chronicle. To my joy and surprise we both received much love from very, very nice people complimenting us by saying our costumes were “The best I’ve seen of that series” or “Well made with good attention to detail”. I was on a high. I still am.

Devin and I made friends with two wonderful people cosplaying Syaoran and Kurogane, and the four of us joined forces to miraculously make a complete group of the main Tsubasa characters.

Sunday was uneventful. Devin and I left early, drove home, slept for hours, spat our most recent inside jokes, and experienced post-con sadness together.
P.S. I feel an apology is necessary. I intended for this to be a much funnier post, but because I procrastinated too long I couldn’t remember all the funny stories. I have a memory resembling a… Something that forgets everything.
P.P.S. Tune in for my next actual blog post about fat people cosplaying!
